Carpooling service
Uniud on the GO is a service exclusively for students, professors, and staff, accessible through the UP2GO app. Sharing your car along the home-to-campus route saves money, reduces pollution emissions, earns credits for each trip made (convertible into discounts and benefits), and promotes excellent social opportunities. At the end of 2022, a contest was launched to reward students' creativity in proposing a logo and a slogan for the new university service that could be meaningful for the entire academic community. The committee ultimately selected the logo and claim depicted below as the winners.
To use UP2GO, you need to:
- Download the app!
- Use your institutional email (@spes.uniud.it or @uniud.it).
- Enter the code "UNIUD" during registration.
- If you don't have a car, still choose "petrol-powered."
- Enter the verification code received via email in the following screen.
- Access the app and make a ride offer or request, always specifying the departure address (street and town/city).
- Departure or arrival must necessarily be one of the university locations listed.
- Date and time are selectable within the created route.
- The application will find the best carpooling proposals and show the estimated arrival time at the destination.
- Once the ride offer/request is agreed upon, you can check-in and check-out (the driver and passenger must be a few meters and minutes apart).
