The degree course in Banking and Finance aims to train professionals capable of acting with adequate skills in both financial and non-financial companies (credit relationship manager, investment portfolio manager, pension plan manager- pension fund manager, asset and personal risk coverage manager), both in the performance of the freelance profession, among which, by way of example, are identified, as pertinent profiles, financial advisors, independent consultants, insurance brokers, specialist business consultants in financial planning and management.
The set of courses offered is aimed both at understanding the phenomena that characterize business economics and at the critical understanding of the issues related to the management of corporate finance, the legal and technical operational characteristics of intermediation processes and products credit, insurance and securities management (attributable to the activity carried out by SIM and SGR). This approach makes it possible to define professional profiles capable of covering basic and intermediate roles, in the field of management of financial companies, in the area of ​​managing the finance function in non-financial companies and in the sector of business and property consultancy. To achieve these objectives:
- In the economic-business context, the basic issues are addressed, appropriately contextualized on a historical and systemic level, useful to then deepen the aspects related to the management of companies and the understanding of the complex contexts in which they operate
- In the legal field, the knowledge aimed at understanding the profiles of contracts, companies and, more generally, the economic relationships between the various operators (public and private) is outlined;
- In the mathematical-statistical field, quantitative skills and basic and specialist level tools for measuring economic-business phenomena are strengthened.

Furthermore, as distinctive and characterizing elements of the course of study, topics and investigations relating to financial disciplines related to the products and services in use in the various intermediation sectors such as those offered by banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, funds will be presented and analyzed pension and financial instruments brokerage firm.

At the end of the training course, the student will be in possession of functional skills for accessing the labor market in areas previously described.
