  • 1. Basic mechanisms: sports performance and injury prevention
    Curriculum aimed at providing scientific competences suitable for designing research projects and scientific studies on the mechanisms underlying correct performance in sporting activities at all levels and at different ages of life. The Curriculum will make it possible, also through a multidisciplinary approach, to synthesise different competences for the study of the multiple components characterising sports performance for able-bodied persons or those who practise adapted sports, and to identify all the different mechanisms linked to the most frequent injuries in order to reduce their incidence and severity;

    2. Sport development programmes, assessment, management and performance models
    Curriculum whose objective is to provide scientific skills suitable for designing research and scientific studies aimed at outlining the best training methodologies, performance models, and related indicators, including the analysis of functional assessment and management tools for the various aspects linked to the practice of sport in the professional sphere, in grassroots sport, and in amateur sporting activities;

    3. Basic mechanisms and exercise-related modifications
    A curriculum that deepens expertise on the structural and functional molecular effects involved in exercise responses in health and disease, the development of research on mechanisms of action, investigative methodologies and innovative technologies aimed at this end, also using a multidisciplinary and translational approach;

    4. Physical intervention programmes in exercise-sensitive pathologies
    Curriculum that aims to develop research projects based on evidence-based exercise therapy to identify specific and individualised approaches on the different pathological areas that show a positive response to exercise-based intervention programmes. The curriculum also aims to study and analyse parameters and indicators to characterise and personalise improvements in health status and psycho-social outcomes;

    5. Prevention programmes for non-communicable diseases and diseases related to sedentariness and
    ageing
    Curriculum aiming at providing scientific competences adequate to identify new sustainable intervention strategies and exercise programmes aimed at preventing non-communicable diseases, combating sedentariness and promoting healthy-longevity through active lifestyles in the different population types and age groups also using a one-health approach;

  • 6. Innovative teaching of motor and sports activities
    Curriculum that aims to provide high-profile scientific competences to develop research projects and studies based on the latest evidence and the most effective and shared good practices on the teaching of motor activities at different ages of life and for people with special educational needs, adopting the perspective of long life education
