Abstract
“Being a scholar” has many facets and requires a set of skills specific to each discipline, but there is one common denominator: we all need to communicate our findings to an audience (mostly anonymous). In addition to oral communication, writing is of paramount importance in promoting, negotiating, and disseminating scientific concepts. As the title suggests, the goal of this workshop is to transform the discomfort or uncertainty associated with writing scientific manuscripts into confidence, excitement, and joy. Starting with some general considerations and a collection of dos and don'ts, I will guide you through the process of writing an academic text, whether it is your thesis, a conference paper, or a publication to be submitted to a scientific journal.
Module 1 and Module 2 can be taken individually or together without any prerequisites.
