Job placement opportunities:
Over the years, the IIE-PhD programme has given the opportunity to fellows to pursue a variety of working careers in the following directions:
1) Employment in electronic components industries, semiconductor design and manufaturing industries, advanced software design industries, telecommunications, mechanics, industrial automation and tertiary industries;
2) Employment in production and tertiary enterprises requesting skills in production management, procurement and commercial exchange;
3) Employment in businesses working in advanced sectors requiring skills in IT, electronic and mechanical programming through models of complex processes;
4) Scientific career in national and international universities, in Institutes of Advanced Education, in Research Centres and national and international laboratories, in particular within the EU.
The graduates of the IIE-PhD Course are all employed. A recent survey of 50 of them (from cycle XXIV to cycle XXVIII) showed that 60% of them is employed ion companies, 14% in research centers or research consultant, 26% in academic positions. 26% of the sample works abroad.
Out of the 31 PhDs of the last three years (2014-2016), 55% works in industrie and SMEs, 13% in in research centers and 32% in academic institutions. 32% works abroad
