Right to stay in Italy: EU students
Exchange students of EU/EEA countries do not need a residence permit or visa, but they need to apply for a right to reside in Italy at the local Municipality, if the period of study is over three months (90 days).
The necessary documents for applying for your stay in Italy are:
- your passport or Euro-ID
- your European health insurance (TEAM) or your private health insurance
- one passport size photo
Exchange students of EU/EEA countries will receive more information about it at their arrival at the University of Udine, during the "3-days welcome service", managed by the International Relations and Mobility Office - International Student Service.
