Objectives
Basic knowledge of the electronics circuits devoted to the energy conversion.
Acquired skills
- Knowledge on power circuit and system.
Lectures and exercises (topics and specific content)
Introduction: power electronics devices (10 hours).
DC-DC conversion: DC-DC converter topologies: Buck, Boost, Buck-boost (10 hours).
AC-DC conversion: uncontrolled and controlled rectifiers (10 hours).
DC-AC conversion: single phase and Triphase inverters (10 hours).
Applications: photovoltaic systems, UPS etc. (10 hours).
Thermal design: thermal modelling and design (10 hours).
Exercises (20 hours).
