Integrating digital technologies and e-learning in healthcare professional education: investigating the interconnection between research, education and environment for the development, delivery and evaluation of educational events.

This project focuses on enhancing healthcare professionals' (HCPs), particularly registered nurses, continuing education through e-learning platforms. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the utilization of e-learning has surged, addressing the challenge of managing work-family conflicts for nurses. While e-learning has shown effectiveness compared to traditional methods, its integration and efficacy in HCPs' education warrant further investigation.

The objectives include comprehensive quantitative assessments of e-learning programs, identifying benefits like enhanced interaction and accessibility, and challenges such as technical issues and privacy concerns. Feedback from HCPs, especially nurses, will be gathered to inform improvements. Guidelines integrating research findings will be proposed to enhance the quality of future educational programs.

The project's phases entail a systematic review, quantitative analysis of a retrospective study, qualitative investigation of HCPs' experiences, and integration of findings to develop good practice manuals. Stakeholder involvement, including AGENAS, will ensure relevance and consensus.

The aim is to provide insights into digital technologies' role in HCPs' education, informing educators and policymakers to design inclusive and accessible programs. Ethical approval will be sought, and the project's findings will contribute to advancing e-learning in healthcare education.
