UNIUD è ricerca STIMOLA CURIOSITA’, PASSIONE E CORAGGIO
INTERREG ITA-SLO - AGROTUR- Agroturistica carsica
The Agrotur project provides the Karst region with a common new brand built around the slogan “Karst, a destination for indigenous products”. Using a comprehensive approach, we wish to improve the quality and market visibility of Teran wine and Kraški pršut (dry-cured ham from the Karst region), product synonymous with the region. At the same time, we wish to decrease the negative consequences of intensive agriculture on the environment. To this purpose, we will strengthen the existing scientific cooperation and networking between research institutions on both sides of the border. This will facilitate the future transfer of knowledge, both horizontally (between research institutions themselves) as well as vertically (by raising the awareness of end users, namely the local population). Another goal of the project is to connect cross-border providers of accommodations into a diffuse hotel network that will feature an offer of indigenous products. The project is an interdisciplinary endeavour with the aim of improving the wellbeing and economic success of the local population. In addition to entrepreneurship, it focuses on social, environmental and cultural relations in accordance with the strategies for the development of Slovenia and Italy and the Lisbon Strategy.
