Da Passo di Monte Croce Carnico a Passo Pramollo/Vom Plöckenpass zum Nassfeldpass

Progetto finanziato nell’ambito del Programma Interreg V-A Italia-Austria 2014-2020 > CLLD-Strategia HEurOpen Projekt finanziert im Rahmen des Programms Interreg V-A Italien-Österreich 2014-2020 > CLLD-Strategie HEurOpen The cross-border area that lies between Passo di Monte Croce Carnico and Passo Pramollo has a wealth of naturalistic, historical and alpine attractions. Here you can find such plants as Wulfenia and Eryingium, protected areas, paleontological sites and more. Of equal importance is the historical heritage, in particular that of the Great War. In addition, the territory is crossed by a dense network of hiking trails, including the Red Via Alpina Trail, the Traversata Carnica with interconnecting paths on both sides. Following in the footprints of famous climbers there are vie ferrate and mountaineering routes. The project aims at enhancing the whole area for cultural, educational and tourist purposes by: - improving alpine routes and locations for a sustainable tourism - accentuating the precious elements that can be found here (flora, fauna, history, etc.) – improving the attractiveness of the cross-border area - bolstering local communities awareness of the attractions of their own territory In fact, the project initiatives are aimed not only at giving greater value to the area but also to the people who live there. One of the strengths of the project is the involvement of local communities, in particular the Alpine Club members, who are partners in the project. Involving young people, through local schools and Youth Groups of the Alpine Club Sections is just as crucial, as it is they who represent the future for the sustainable development of the cross-border area.
