Abstract

Building on the framework set out in the National Plan for Open Science, the seminar will provide an introduction to the fundamental principles of Open Science, with a particular focus on the distinction between Open Access and Open Data and on the role of Open Science in research evaluation processes.
The second part of the seminar will be devoted to operational aspects, with practical guidance on depositing research data. In particular, the procedures for publishing datasets in the University of Udine’s Zenodo Community – a repository integrated into the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) ecosystem – will be explained, highlighting its features and benefits for the FAIR management of research data.
