Doing Research in Germany – How to shape your academic career with the help of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation

Course - Career

Sponsorship opportunities provided by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Program

During the seminar, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation's research programmes, fellowships and awards will be presented, the selection and evaluation processes and career opportunities offered by the Foundation will be discussed, as well as strategies for building an academic and research career, including through the testimony of Humboldt-Alumni.

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation promotes cultural dialogue and academic exchange between researchers and offers flexible funding programmes for researchers at all stages of their careers. Fellowships and awards enable long-term research activities in Germany. There are no quotas for specific countries or research areas; it is primarily people and their scientific excellence that are funded. The foundation also offers numerous opportunities for support and assistance even after the end of the research stay to all its alumni/ae.
