The University of Udine, thanks to the financial support of the Order of Lawyers of Udine and FIDAPA-Italian Federation of Women Arts and Business Professions - Section of Udine, has announced the sixth edition of the Degree Award in memory of Silvia Gobbato, trainee lawyer, graduated from the University of Udine and brutally killed in 2013.

The degree award has been divided in two so as to give adequate value to both the theses discussed in master's or single-cycle degree courses and in three-year degree courses. Those who graduated in one of the University of Udine's degree courses in the academic years 2021/2022 or 2022/2023 or 2023/2024 can participate by 31 October 2024, discussing a degree thesis/final exam concerning gender studies and/or gender-based violence and/or gender discrimination.

This initiative follows in the wake of the other initiatives undertaken by Uniud aimed at combating violence against women and with the aim of spreading the culture of gender equality and equal opportunities, also in implementation of the Gender Equality Plan 2022-2023 and the Three-year plan of positive actions 2020-2022.
