Italian Studies

In the Master's in Italian studies you will study Italian literature, Italian linguistics, theory of literature, Romanesque philology and Italian philology, historical and pedagogical sciences. After graduating, you can work in many different fields, including research in philology and literature, research centers and similar bodies, both public and private, in Italy and abroad, agencies that work in the field of publishing and cultural events, journalism, publishing and advertising, marketing, human resources management, public relations and public administration.

The Magister degree course in Italian studies prepares students to start a career in the following activities and related jobs:
- research in the field of philology and literature, either continuing studies at post-graduate level (for example a research doctorate or specialization courses) or employment within universities, research centers and similar bodies, both public and private, in Italy and abroad, after having passed the necessary selection and recruitment procedures;
- high level positions within public and private structures and agencies that work in the field of publishing and cultural events: 1. editor in journalism (after registering on the professional register), publishing and advertising, with high-level writing and organizational skills; 2. operator, possibly with high responsibility, in the fields of marketing, human resources management, public relations and public administration.
Graduates can also expect to find employment in teaching, having completed the teacher training process and passed the exams established by the regulations on force.
