March 2024: Ecoforum FVG
Event promoted by Legambiente FVG, as part of the national campaign "Recycling Municipalities," in collaboration with Biorepack. 53 Recycling and Waste-Free Municipalities were awarded, including the Reuse Portal project of the University of Udine.
February 2024: NanoValbruna Press Conference
Presentation of the NanoValbruna festival, International Youth Forum for Regeneration, with the launch of the third edition of the "BAITE Award," an international contest that rewards innovative and sustainable start-up projects by students, young researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
January 2024: Adaptation
Improving the quality of life in cities by reducing carbon footprint and focusing on recycling and reusing materials, protecting forests and rivers, the new episode of the web documentary Adaptation tells the challenges that the FVG region has embraced with a strong sense of responsibility.
September 2023: Climbing for Climate 5
Glacier Excursion on Adamello to monitor the glacier's status and issue a call to strengthen efforts against the climate crisis,ecological crisis, and biodiversity loss. Public presentation of results in a dedicated seminar and press conference.
July 27 - August 1, 2023: Nanovalbruna Festival
A green festival in the heart of the Julian Alps where scientists, entrepreneurs, professors, professionals, journalists, and young individuals come together to discuss the future in the present.
November 2022: Cop 27 Sharm El-Sheikh
United Nations Climate Change Conference with the participation of the University of Udine on behalf of the Network of Italian Universities for Sustainable Development (Rus). The main third-mission projects on the sustainability of Italian universities were presented.
October 2022: Ecological Walk with Plastic Free Onlus
An ecological walk with the aim of cleaning the streets of the city of Udine from abandoned waste and raising awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution.
October 2022: The European Year of Youth, a Greener, more Digital, and more Inclusive Future
Project by the Italian Network of European Documentation Centers aimed at engaging young people in a debate on environmental issues, challenges of inclusion, and fair and sustainable innovation.
October 2022: Sustainable Development Basic Course Webinar
Opening webinar for the third edition of the course for students and university staff, included in the Asvis calendar (Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development) as part of the Sustainable Development Festival.
September 2022: Degrowth: If Not Now, When?
Conference, with the sponsorship of UNIUD, on topics such as climate change, agro-ecology and the food chain, safeguarding ecosystems and biodiversity, and health protection.
September 2022: Climbing for Climate
Excursion to enhance the territories through active mobility along the CAI Sentiero Italia between Casa Alpina di Valbruna and Rifugio Pellarini. In conclusion, an informative meeting on the topics of climate change and landscape protection.
October 2022: Presentation of the European Project PULCHRA
A project that promotes collaboration between schools and communities. Students, through scientific knowledge, presented their ideas to regenerate urban space and connect people in a healthy environment.
October 2022: Carpooling Project Presentation
Presentation to the university community of the new sustainable mobility service. The functioning of the application and the benefits for participants were explained.
September 2022: Climbing for Climate 4
Participation in the central event on Mont Blanc, excursion on the Western Glacier of Montasio, and two conferences to raise public awareness about the ongoing effects of climate change.
July 2022: Transformative and Transformed University: Development Processes and the Role of Universities + Regional Day of Solidarity Economy in Friuli Venezia Giulia
Debate on the role of the University in territorial development processes, looking at the experiences of other universities, especially in Latin America.
January 2022: EXPO 2020 Dubai
Forum "Universities in action for the UN 2030 Agenda" organized by the Network of Italian Universities for Sustainable Development (Rus), where best practices in universities on the themes of 'People, Planet, and Prosperity' for the Decade of Action were presented.
