Useful information

University fees include tuition fees and contributions, the regional tax for the right to education, and stamp duty.
For the academic year 2026/2027, tuition fees range from a minimum of 16.00 euros to a maximum amount that for the next academic year is currently being updated (the maximum amount for a.y. 2025/2026 was 2,076.00 euros).

The amount to pay depends on candidate's economic profile, which is being calculated  by using the ISEE - equivalent economic situation indicator, that you can obtain through authorised CAF offices in Italy - Centri di Assistenza Fiscale.  

Tuition fees are due in three instalments: the first instalment should be paid when applying; the second one by the end of March and the last one by the end of May, as mentioned in the current Additional Notice regarding tuition fees, contributions and fee exemptions (to be updated). Before arrival all international students who are either enrolled at UNIUD university or engaged in a student mobility programme, will have to look for accommodation on their own, according to personal selection criteria and needs. If you are an EU citizen studying in Italy, you must have a valid health insurance coverage in order to access healthcare services during your stay. An adequate health coverage is mandatory and can be provided through one of the following options:

a) EHIC - The European Health Insurance Card, issued in your home country, which allows access to healthcare servicees during a temporary stay in Italy;

b) voluntary enrolment in the Italian National Health Service (SSN - Servizio Sanitario Nazionale), in accordance with current legislation. Further information regarding the issuance of the Italian SSN card.

The Italian language
proficiency test
Udine University The test will be held ONSITE in Udine on: September 10th and October 9th of 2026 at 9.00 a.m. (written test) in class A022 and at 2.00 p.m. (oral test) in class A024, in Via delle Scienze 206, Udine. In order to participate in the ITALIAN LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TEST it is required a registration by e-mail to  studenti@uniud.it with the indication of your name, surname, degree course you are applying to, by attaching a valid copy of the passport, no later than the 28/08/26 (for the 10/09/26 test) and the 25/09/26 (for the 09/10/26 test). The registered candidates will receive an e-mail with further operational instructions.
