Objectives

The objectives include the understanding of the operation, the analysis methodologies, the design principles and the performance of complex digital and analog circuits. In particular, for the analog electronics, multistage amplifiers, the operational amplifiers and the feedback circuits will be described and analyzed. The theoretical bases for the study and the correct design of stable circuits will also be presented. Finally the analysis of the operation and design of oscillators will be introduced.

Acquired skills

- Understanding op-amp applications.
- Design of single-stage and multi-stage amplifiers.
- Analyzing the frequency response of amplifiers.
- Analyzing the feedback in amplifiers and their stability.
- Understanding some issues on analog integrated circuits.
