Abstract

The research project aims at developing mathematical and numerical tools for the study of the dynamics of ordinary and complex systems, at the structural/homogeneous scale up to the meso- to nano-scale, with the purpose of providing sound mathematical and numerical models at the base of system identification from observed input–output data. Among the main research topics we mention wave control for phononic metamaterials and porous media, inverse problems for nanostructures, dynamics and structural stability for complex and biological systems.
